Bet365 named as official PGA Tour partner
The PGA Tour has announced that Bet365 is an official partner
Bet365 is one of the UK's largest iGaming businesses offering players the chance to play sports bets, casino games, online slots and even bingo through Bet365 Bingo.
The iGaming giant has also been announced as an official betting operator (OBO) for the PGA Tour with a three-year content agreement that continues until 2024.
Ultimately, the PGA Tour is the organiser of the main professional golf tours played by men in the USA. It was founded in 1929 and continues to be the leading golf tour organiser.
The PGA Tour operates six tours with three of them primarily contested in the US. Some of the tours include the PGA Tour (for top ranking golfers), PGA Tour Champions (for holders over 50) and Korn Ferry Tour (a US development tour).
What will this partnership include?
This agreement states that Bet365 will be the exclusive source for odds on the official PGA website on the leaderboard and player pages as well as TourCast.
Bet365 will become the first OBO outside of North America with territories in the UK, Ireland and Australia. This partnership will also have a brand presence across the PGA Tour's media properties including Discovery platforms.
"Poised for tremendous growth," says PGA Tour
“We are excited to work with Bet365 to expand the Tour’s sports betting initiatives outside of North America,” said Scott Warfield, Vice President of Gaming at the PGA Tour.
“Bet365 was the first operator to integrate the Tour’s official in-play betting product and they are poised for tremendous growth being on the forefront of in-play sports betting in golf. The Tour continues to look for opportunities to innovate in new areas with a goal of engaging with fans.”
"One of the most iconic brands in global sport," says Bet365
A spokesperson for Bet365 said: “The Bet365 group are delighted to be working with one of the most iconic brands in global sport.”
Bet365 added: “Throughout this partnership with PGA Tour, Bet365 will strive to continue delivering a market-leading in-play experience to our golf customers, both across our global sites and the PGA Tour platforms.”
