The Ancient Egyptian theme has proven massively popular in the development of slot games, so designing an entire site around this genre makes perfect sense. I’m a fan of historical/adventure games, and themed sites are a great way to provide a more immersive experience.

On the topic of design, the site is quite stripped-back, with a clean white-on-black text format, combined with a simple gold and black colour scheme. It may seem unremarkable at first glance, but beneath the surface, there’s a lot to like about Horus Casino.

Horus Casino has been around since 2019 and has amassed a truly impressive library of games in this time, with the grand total now at over 10,000. The attractions on offer span over 8,700 slots, hundreds of live casino tables, countless sports betting markets and more. There are very few competitors who can rival this.

I found the library to be pretty diverse, albeit with a specific emphasis placed on jackpot games, Megaways and bonus-buy games.

Also to its credit, Horus Casino takes a progressive and player-friendly approach to banking and promotions. For instance, Horus players have the option of using Bitcoin, as well as more conventional payment methods. Also, many of Horus's promotions are high-value and come with no wagering requirements.

In addition to top promos for both new and existing players, Horus hosts a ‘VIP Club’, which promises that its members will be “treated like a god” and “enjoy godlike benefits”. In real terms, this amounts to improved customer support, cashback, boosted and exclusive promotions, and reduced restrictions on certain games.

Horus is a contemporary casino with an ancient theme, competitive terms, attractive bonuses and a vast range of attractions which includes every type of casino game you can imagine.

Owned by Mirage Entertainment Corporation Limited and operated by Versus Odds, Horus Casino has some big names behind it and several internationally recognisable sister sites.

With such a massive selection of games, it’s no surprise that some of the highest-calibre developers provide the lion's share of Horus' collection. These include Games Global, Evolution Gaming, Blueprint, NetEnt, Nolimit, Play’n GO, Yggdrasil and many more.

I was also glad to see a number of smaller developers in the mix, as this indicates that Horus Casino’s library is not just big, but also varied.

Whereas many casinos source their live games from just one or two software providers, Horus Casino’s live casino comes from a wide range of developers, so there’s variety here too. These include the big hitters, such as Evolution, Pragmatic and Playtech, and also several others.

Horus Casino doesn’t have an app, but the mobile browser version of the site runs perfectly well, with great compatibility and relatively few changes from the desktop site. I’m a fan of mobile-optimised sites which closely reflect the layout of their desktop counterparts, as it makes navigation much more intuitive.

Slots

I decided to begin in the ‘Slots’ category of the Casino section. For some reason, there are a few live games thrown into the mix here, but the bulk of what I found were indeed slots.

The ‘All’ tab contains a range of new titles alongside some of the most popular slots around, such as entries into the Big Bass franchise and Book of Dead. It’s advisable to use the search bar and filter tabs which are available, or else you’ll be scrolling for a long time!

Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of Egyptian theme slots matching Horus' overall motif. You'll also find other fan favourites, such as Gonzo's Quest, Jammin' Jars and Immortal Romance along with more modern slots with unique mechanics such as Hades Gigablox and Aloha! Cluster Pays

Naturally, there's a Megaways tab with hits such as Gonzo's Quest Megaways and Fishin' Frenzy Megaways.

The Mega Moolah jackpot is available at Horus Casino along with jackpots from Yggdrasil, Playtech, iSoftBet and many others. When you open up the jackpot section, you'll be greeted by a huge selection.

The ‘New’ tab reduces the full list down to a selection of the latest offerings from providers including Nolimit, Pragmatic Play and Spinomenal. There were 166 games in this category at the time of writing, including plenty of interesting offerings. Evidently, Horus Casino takes pride in maintaining an up-to-date library.

The ‘Bonus Buy’ tab reduces the library to those games which allow players to buy their way into the bonus round. Impressively, there are 800+ games here, so fans of this feature won’t feel overlooked. Just be aware that bonus buy games are restricted in some countries.

In a nutshell, slots fans are highly unlikely to be disappointed by what Horus Casino has on offer, whether you’ve got your heart set on something particular, or are searching for your next obsession.

Other games & sports

The bulk of the library may be made up of slots, but Horus hasn’t been cutting corners elsewhere. There’s no bingo lobby, but other than that, the broader casino and sports sections are pretty well appointed.

Within the ‘Casino’ tab are others which correspond to Horus’ selections of ‘Table Games’, ‘Crash Games’, ‘Fast Games’ and ‘Live Games’.

In terms of video table games, there are hundreds of options spanning roulette, blackjack, baccarat, craps and more. These are generally high-quality, and come from experienced table game developers such as Evolution.

The crash games category contains a small but respectable selection. These increasingly popular offerings employ a stock trading-like mechanism, enabling players to bet on whether or not a graph line will crash. These are intended to appeal especially to cryptocurrency players.

Fast games are like instant win games in the sense that they offer a quick result with minimal effort on the player’s part. These often feature some competitive RTP rates and can come in a variety of themes and forms.

The Live Casino is fairly well equipped too. Frankly, considering the size of the library overall, I would have expected more than the 34 titles which I found. Nevertheless, the selection is high quality, and it covers the main bases.

Beyond the casino tab is the ‘Sports’ section. This is pretty much all-encompassing, with live fixtures, support for just about any sport you could possibly want to bet on, and a clean, logical interface.

Players can also access a ‘Crypto Games’ section via the vertical menu to the left of the page. These are varied but selected to appeal to crypto players, and this category overlaps quite a bit with the crash games mentioned above.

Promotions & Rewards

Horus Casino’s approach to promotions is a multifaceted one, almost to the point of being overwhelming!

To provide an overview, players can expect a VIP program as well as a loyalty system, welcome bonuses and reload bonuses which correspond to the various sections of the site, and a system of ‘Challenges’.

When first heading over to the ‘Promotions’ tab, I was met with a range of different welcome bonuses. The specifics are likely to vary over time, but it’s nice of Horus to give players options here.

There are also deposit reload bonuses, boosted Drops & Wins and profit boosts, as well as some massive prize pools and network giveaways.

These don’t appear to be ‘ongoing’ promos, and are likely to be replaced at some point, but they should give some indication of the variety that players can expect in terms of bonuses for existing players.

Many of the promos offered by Horus Casino come with excellent terms and no wagering requirements, but it’s always worth checking the small print before you claim.

Weekend Bonus Party

Every weekend, players are treated to a no wagering casino bonus where they can receive special deposit bonuses that change each weekend. This offer is available once a day on Saturday and Sunday.

VIP Program

The VIP Club exists to reward the most loyal and high-rolling regulars. There are no strict requirements for entry, and if you’re already a dedicated Horus player then consider asking customer service to make you a VIP.

VIP members receive various perks including a personal VIP manager, boosted cashback, improved per-spin values when using bonuses, fewer restrictions, and access to some exclusive promos.

Loyalty Program

Distinct from the VIP Club, Horus Casino also offers a loyalty program. By accumulating loyalty points, which you earn by spinning on any game, you can claim prizes including cash rewards and free spins.

Simply by opening an account, you gain access to leaderboards with prizes, wagering challenges with rewards, bonus-boosting benefits, monthly cashback, and a ‘Rakeback’ system which sets aside a portion of the house edge for players to re-wager.

Deposits & Withdrawals

Horus Casino accepts a range of payment methods which is too long to list here. So, whatever your preference, it’s likely to be supported. Broadly, the list spans credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, online transfers, cryptocurrencies and eWallets

The minimum deposit limit varies quite a bit depending on your chosen payment method. The lowest is €5 and the highest is €20, but crypto payments have no minimum limit at all. Whereas the majority of deposits are instant, however, cryptocurrencies have a varying wait time which depends on your chosen transaction fee.

Cryptocurrencies are sometimes subject to small fees and harsh minimum limits when withdrawing too. More traditional withdrawals can be made above the minimum limit of €30, whereas the minimums for crypto vary wildly, even up to a minimum of €2,000.

Whilst the minimum limits are a little disappointing, I’m happy to bank with more conventional methods, so for me personally, this isn’t a big issue. Also, payments are processed in under 24 hours, which is a very respectable time frame.

Licensing & Regulation

Horus Casino as well as its parent and related companies hold licences in Curaçao, so players can enjoy the site confidently, knowing that they’re in good hands.

Horus Casino also places a great deal of emphasis on security, stating that “we put customer security as our number one priority”. Horus Casino employs the highest standards of SSL encryption when transferring player data, and always respects players’ privacy.

Help & Support

Players with a query should check the FAQ section before getting in touch. I found it to be a bit sparse, but it does answer the most common questions. There’s not enough information here to justify a search function. However, any oversight here is easily compensated for by the quality of the customer service.

I found the live chat to be flawless. Not only is it available 24/7, but there’s no irritating chatbot to get past before you can speak to a real person. I found that I got a polite, articulate response within just a couple of minutes. Horus is a multilingual casino, yet communicating with the agents was quick, clear and easy.
