A gaming experience fit for royalty…?

Blighty Bingo offers a strong lineup of online bingo, slots and casino games for your playing pleasure, with a strong emphasis on all things British.

With no wagering requirements anywhere, action-packed bingo rooms, and a lineup of around 500 slots waiting for you on the inside, it’s like a big traditional street party ready for you to join.

Blighty Bingo is no longer actively promoted by No Wagering, probably due to them not having any relevant offers or promotions with low wagering requirements. This page should be considered out of date and no longer valid.

Dig out the bunting and fly the Union Jacks—it’s time for the UK’s biggest bingo street party, courtesy of Blighty Bingo.

From the name alone, it’s obvious Blighty Bingo is a bingo site with character. Home to a selection of bingo rooms, slots, daily promotions and more, there’s a strong British theme going on here that appeals to the classic British spirit of community and togetherness.

If you’re anything like me, it’s the community that separates different bingo sites more than anything else—you come for the games, but stay for the chat. I could tell from the first few moments of using my new account at Blighty Bingo that this was what they were aiming for here.

Part of the Broadway Gaming Group, Blighty Bingo is run by the people behind Quality Bingo and Yay Bingo amongst others, so you feel in safe hands knowing there’s some experience behind the scenes. With seemingly generous promotions and the benefit of no wagering requirements on any of their promotions, I quickly felt at home playing here.

There are a few clear areas of improvement though, and we’ll look at these more throughout this review. However, on balance, Blighty Bingo benefits from a friendly, supportive community, and has a lot to offer in terms of bingo rooms and slots that make it a worthwhile place to play.

Platform & Software

Blighty Bingo is powered by Dragonfish software, one of the most established and widely used in the UK. Dragonfish is owned by the company behind Blighty Bingo, Broadway Gaming, so the platform offers bingo play powered by its own proprietary game engine.

The selection of slots is pretty good too, with the likes of Barcrest, WMS Gaming, NetEnt, IGT, Eyecon and others all contributing games to the wider catalogue. On the whole, the software experience throughout Blighty Bingo is pretty good, with the site and all games loading quickly and performing well on desktop, smartphone and tablet.

While Blighty Bingo can be accessed on mobile, it is lacking in the app department. That said, the mobile-optimised site is more than capable of providing everything you need for a top mobile experience on both Android and Apple devices.

Games

The main event then—the games. Behind the theme and the design, Blighty Bingo puts forward a pretty solid offering, with some great bingo games to be enjoyed here. The Free 4 U Room is open to new players, right from the second you sign-up for an account, to provide an opportunity for free bingo play. There’s still the chance to win real money here too, which is always a bonus. I started my journey here, and found a room filled with other newbies, getting the hang of life playing at Blighty Bingo

Click ‘PLAY BINGO’ in the header when you log in, and you’re presented with a range of 52-ball, 75-ball and 90-ball bingo rooms for when you’re ready to play for real money. Some bingo rooms are scheduled and only play at certain times of the day, so I recommend having a look around and planning your play accordingly. The evening games tend to be where most of the action is chat-wise, so you might want to think about clearing some time to get to know other players around these games.

Choice is one thing you won’t be short of here, with bingo rooms like Ace Club Big Bang, Street Party, Mystery Jackpots, Blighty 90, Kaching and loads more keeping things fresh time after time. I also like how each of the bingo rooms have their own theme. Blighty Bingo does very well to put this together, and to keep different games feeling exciting with their mix of game formats and prizes.

On the slots front, there are around 500 different slots to choose from, coming from a plethora of developers. These are divided into Popular, New and All games.

I was a bit disappointed at the lack of jackpot slots here and felt there was more room for onboarding a larger number of game developers to bulk out the selection. Mega Fortune and Millionaire Genie were all I could see in terms of bigger money slot games. While this might be enough for those who dabble in slots on the side, more experienced slots players like myself will likely find this limiting.

I’d say on balance, the game offering is fairly good, and as a bingo site first and foremost, Blighty Bingo delivers on its promises of a variety of high-quality bingo games. By taking things one or two steps further here, they could start to build up a much better offering—something they’ll need to do if they want to compete with the bigger brand bingo sites over the long term.

Promotions & Rewards

One of the strongest suits for Blighty Bingo comes in the form of their promotions and rewards. Straight off the bat, there’s no wagering on any of the bonuses, which instantly pricked up my ears. After all, nobody likes having to meet unreasonable wagering demands to withdraw bonus winnings, and it’s a big tick in Blighty’s column that they don’t have any of these requirements in place.

Any free spins associated with welcome offers, reload bonuses or other promotions are wagering free, so you get to keep anything you win from these offers. There is usually a welcome bonus consisting of free bingo tickets with your first qualifying deposit, and you may also be eligible for free spins on selected slots as part of the deal.

I would have liked to see a wider selection of bonuses up front but this is something that tends to be fed out to players over time, as a reward for loyalty beyond the initial welcome package.

Deposits & Withdrawals

  • PayPal Logo
  • Visa Logo
  • Mastercard Logo

Withdrawals are from a minimum of just £5, processed through the payment method you used to deposit. Depositing to your account is pretty straightforward, and I was happy to see support for PayPal—one of the easiest ways to manage funding and withdrawing from your online bingo account.

All withdrawals are subject to a 2-day processing time, with card withdrawals taking a further 4-7 business days. MasterCard withdrawals are set at 3-5 days withdrawal time, while PayPal takes 4-5 business days.

For me, this feels a bit too slow and I like to see PayPal withdrawals being sent within 24 hours after processing time. Some bingo sites do deliver on these kinds of timescales, and Blighty Bingo could up it’s game in this respect.

Licensing & Regulation

Blighty Bingo is part of the Broadway Gaming Group, operated by Broadway Gaming Ireland DF Limited. They hold a full licence from the UK Gambling Commission, fulfilling their legal obligation to players based in the UK. As one of the more reputable global gambling regulators, knowing the Gambling Commission is keeping an eye on proceedings at Blighty Bingo should be enough to give you the peace of mind that this is a legitimate bingo site.

Help & Support

Support at Blighty Bingo begins with the FAQs tab, an extensive rundown of common questions and answers that you’ll find helpful. I liked the brief, no-nonsense format here. While I didn’t have any issues requiring a helping hand while reviewing Blighty Bingo myself, I could imagine finding answers here quickly without having to resort to reaching out.

Support options in the round were pretty good here, with the Support Room within your account being the default option of choice. This is like live chat support, running daily from 10am-2am, where you’ll find agents standing by to assist with your issues and questions. There’s also a freephone number you can call from the UK, 0800 901 2510, where you can speak to someone who is able to offer a helping hand.

While it’s not 24-hour coverage, support is available 7 days a week, so you’ll still be able to get help over the weekend if you need it. For more significant enquiries, the email option promises a response within 48 hours. All contact methods are easy enough to access within the Help tab, or from the support menu within your account.
