Fun indeed comes first at PlayOJO, which has some of the most player-friendly terms and conditions of any casino out there. By providing the highest levels of transparency, PlayOJO comfortably sets itself apart from its competitors.

This casino hit the scene in 2017, catering to players sick and tired of dense terms and conditions, unpleasant wagering-related surprises and strict limits hampering bonus values.

This approach has seen PlayOJO rise through the ranks to quickly become a player favourite, and there’s no doubt other sites could do with taking a leaf (or several!) out of PlayOJO’s book.

In addition to its unbeatable terms, PlayOJO features an excellent range of games including both slots and live casino, a unique cashback arrangement for all players, and a very well-optimised mobile browser version of its site.

The PlayOJO library consists of more than 4,000 slots from some of the best developers in the industry, with a great range of jackpot titles for players holding out for that big win.

It seems that PlayOJO ticks all of the boxes and then some, with a near-flawless site, a generous and expertly-curated library of games, rapid payment processing, and terms which sound almost too good to be true!

PlayOJO is operated by SkillOnNet, a Malta-based company which has around 30 other casinos. They clearly know what they’re doing. PlayOJO is the best known site in their portfolio, at least in the UK.

The game library, despite its size, is carefully chosen with a definite focus on quality. At PlayOJO, players will find some of the best slots from developers including NetEnt, Play'n Go, NextGen, Red Tiger, Thunderkick, IGT, Games Global and Pragmatic Play.

The live casino is predominantly provided by Evolution, which is always nice to see. Evolution Gaming is responsible for some of the industry’s best and most recognisable live casino titles spanning poker, roulette, blackjack and more.

PlayOJO doesn't offer Android players a dedicated app at the moment. Instead they ensure they keep their mobile browser site up to scratch – and it really is. Apple users should be able to download their copy, but either way, I found the mobile site smooth, clean and comprehensive.

With a portfolio of 4,000+ games, you might expect a bit of filler, but the fact of the matter is that PlayOJO doesn’t compromise on quality.

Slots

In addition to hosting games produced by the big hitters mentioned above, PlayOJO hosts quite a few games from smaller companies, which I like to see. Often it’s the case that these smaller companies are more progressive, trying out new themes, features and mechanics, and they’re a great way to inject some variety into a session.

PlayOJO players can expect a solid range of proven classics such as Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest and Book of Dead, in addition to some more experimental and leftfield offerings.

The PlayOJO homepage features a fairly large section dedicated to jackpot games, with live totals for big network jackpots as well as smaller (but still huge) daily jackpots and must-drop titles. This section states that OJO hosts “over 290 Jackpot slots”, which certainly says something about this site’s commitment to offering big prizes.

Within the ‘Slots Play’ tab is an advanced search function, which is extremely useful considering the quantity of titles available. This feature enables you to search for a specific game, or to filter the library according to game providers and features, as well as including/excluding OJOplus titles (more on these later).

They’ve taken our advice and added 139 Megaways slots since I last reviewed the site. And in terms of overall variety, quality and navigability, it has to be full marks for PlayOJO’s slots selection!

Other games

Live casino fans won’t be left wanting either, with more than 100 titles in this category, provided by Evolution, Playtech and Pragmatic. Beyond the usual baccarat, roulette, blackjack and poker games, there are various game show titles and live trivia quizzes.

Located beneath the ‘Casino’ tab, which contains both video and live casino games, is a dedicated ‘Bingo’ tab, which promises a well-equipped bingo lobby. The 15 bingo rooms contained within are all run by Pragmatic, but are quite varied, with ticket prices ranging from just 1p to 30p and some tempting progressive jackpots.

Even the scratchcards section is bursting with games, and there’s no shortage of video table games either. It’s safe to say that, whether you’re a dedicated live casino/bingo player, or more of a slots fan looking for a brief change of scene, there will be something at PlayOJO that takes your fancy.

Promotions & Rewards

It’s worth reiterating here that PlayOJO is all about offering promos with great terms. This means no wagering requirements, no win limits, and no sneaky small print. This really is as fair and transparent as any casino could hope to be.

Some of PlayOJO’s promos are found in the ‘Kickers’ tab. Here, I found a description of the current welcome package, which consisted of both spins and bingo tickets. There’s also an ‘OJO’s Specials’ tab which contains a range of ongoing and recurring bonuses.

Kickers

The ‘Kickers’ page promises “exclusive promos and daily offers hand-picked for you”. Kickers are promos which expire every 24 hours, so there’s plenty of incentive for players to keep checking-in regularly.

These reward you for completing certain challenges within specific sections of the site, often granting prizes such as cash, raffle tickets, spins and bingo tickets.

OJO A Listers

PlayOJO's dedicated team of A-List Managers are constantly on the lookout to recruit high-rolling OJOers to become A-Listers.

A-Listers benefit from a number of exclusive perks including: Higher and faster withdrawal limits, increased betting limits, exclusive kickers, access to exclusive competitions, luxury gifts, Super Spins and Mega Spins on the OJO Wheel and a dedicated A-Lister Manager.

Loyalty Rewards

OJO’s rewards programme enables players to progress through a tiered system of ‘OJO Levels’, earning an assortment of prizes along the way.

There’s no need to opt in or do anything towards this; loyal players are automatically rewarded with cash prizes, free spins, and free goes on The OJO Wheel and Prize Twister mini games – the latter of which features a £25,000 Mega Twister top cash prize.

OJO Plus

OJOplus is essentially a cashback scheme which rewards players for wagering on selected titles, whether they win or lose. This is a nice approach, going above and beyond the majority of cashback offers which only grant returns based on losses.

As with other promos on this site, there’s no wagering, so you’re free to withdraw this cash if you choose. Another great thing about this deal is that it happens in real time, rather than making you wait until the end of the week like most cashback offers.

In-keeping with its player-centric policies, PlayOJO accepts a decent range of payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Skrill, Paysafecard, Trustly and bank transfers. There are no fees associated with any.

The minimum deposit is £10, which is standard really, but there’s no minimum withdrawal limit at all, which is a really nice touch. This is yet another move which I think other casinos could learn from. The fact that small withdrawals are possible also makes the bonuses even more enticing.

PlayOJO promises speedy withdrawal processing too, with the vast majority of payments, especially those made to e-wallets, taking just a few hours. The actual time will vary depending on your chosen method and the day of the week, but it’s safe to say that PlayOJO’s payment processing is at least as quick as that of its competitors.

Licensing & Regulation

SkillOnNet operates a number of casinos internationally, with PlayOJO being their main offering to UK players. SkillOnNet is therefore regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, under licence number 39326, so there’s no doubt about the reliability of the site.

Help & Support

If you find yourself looking for answers, the first place to head is PlayOJO’s FAQ page, which has plenty of information arranged into helpful categories. It would be nice if there was a search function here, but it still doesn’t take long to find an answer to whatever query you may have.

Players can get in touch with customer support via email ([email protected]) or live chat. I found it pretty easy getting past the chatbot to talk to a real person.

It’s not the quickest customer support experience I’ve encountered, but the chat is available from 06:00–00:00 (GMT), which is pretty impressive. The chat window states that the agent “typically replies within a few minutes”, but when putting this to the test I waited a little longer than I’d have liked. However, my questions were answered in a polite and courteous way – as you’d expect.
