When landing on the MagicRed site for the first time, I got the clear impression that they have a focus on live dealer games, with roulette featuring prominently, and the non-live casino games on a separate section of the site. The range of games seems extensive, and that’s before I’ve even got to the slots!

Founded in 2014 and owned by Aspire Global, MagicRed has proven itself to be more than worthy of players’ attention. It consistently delivers attractive bonuses, and maintains a diverse library of around 1,300 games, including both live dealer and video games.

A point of pride for MagicRed Casino is their snappy payment processing times. Whilst I personally don’t mind a slight delay, many players consider processing times a deal-breaker, and MagicRed won’t disappoint them. The MagicRed Casino team processes payments in under 48 hours, but often instantly, depending on your chosen banking method.

However, perhaps one of the most appealing things about MagicRed Casino is the fact that their welcome bonus comes with no wagering requirements. Whilst welcome bonuses can chop and change, I was pleased to see that, at the time of writing, MagicRed is taking this approach for new customers.

MagicRed is owned by powerhouse iGaming company Aspire Global Ltd, which owns a number of other casinos, including Play Frank and Mr Play. The more seasoned enthusiasts out there are likely to be familiar with some of the Aspire casinos already.

Software developers with games hosted on MagicRed Casino include market-leading favourites such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Evolution Gaming and ITG. But there’s a plethora of lesser-known, yet still talented and innovative, names represented in the library too.

The layout of the live section of the site is clean and simple, with separate tabs for blackjack, poker, baccarat, Sic Bo and game shows. The RNG games are laid out in the same way, with tabs for various categories of slots and video table games. The only minor hiccup I ran into whilst navigating the site was being occasionally redirected to the homepage for no apparent reason. Nevertheless, the site feels like a fairly robust all-rounder, and I wouldn’t hold this minor issue against it.

MagicRed Casino has opted to provide both a fully mobile-optimised version of its site as well as a dedicated app. Both run well on my Android device, and both are laid out the same, making good use of a smaller screen, but I found the latter to be just slightly less responsive. For this reason, I’d personally prefer to just use the browser version.

It’s nice to see that the FAQ section of the site emphasises the importance of security to MagicRed, who seem to be acutely aware of how crucial it is that players’ funds and personal data are protected. To this end, MagicRed uses 128-bit SSL encryption when transferring player data to their secure, firewall-protected server.

Some casinos may have a more focused approach when it comes to selecting games, but personally, I’m a fan of MagicRed’s method, which offers something for everyone and provides opportunities for more experienced slot players to try something new. There's even a sports betting section too!

Live Casino

The default landing page is the ‘Live Casino’ section of the site, where I found tabs relating to a range of live game categories, and a good number of options within each.

These games come from a range of developers, including Evolution, who are particularly renowned for their live games, and span categories including roulette, poker, blackjack, sic bo and baccarat. A separate tab for ‘Game Shows’ hosts 18 wheel and sport-based live games, some of which are based on existing IPs.

By providing so much choice within the Live Casino section of its site, MagicRed is sure to appeal to players with nostalgic attractions to bricks-and-mortar casinos, and who want to bring the thrill and atmosphere of a physical experience into their home. Delivering this effectively is one of MagicRed’s great strengths.

Casino & Slots

The prominence of the ‘Live Casino’ section, however, does not mean that the ‘Casino’ section of the site has been neglected! Here, I found a great range of slots, including a few familiar faces. Many players will no doubt be glad to see such consistently popular games as Starburst, Book of Dead, and Big Bass Bonanza.

Slots are arranged into several categories, including featured games, new games, drops & wins, and, interestingly, a seasonal tab. At the time of writing, in late October, this tab contained ‘Halloween Games’, so presumably there are other seasonal periods which get their own dedicated tab and selection of games. Some players will already have their favourite all-year-round evergreen games, but I think it’s a nice touch.

The ‘Casino’ section of the site is pretty much entirely occupied by slots, but there is also a tab for table games where I found many of the usual suspects in terms of video roulette, baccarat, poker and more.

Whilst there’s a notable absence of jackpot games, there’s a selection of 40+ games with a drops and wins feature, including quite a few Megaways games, if that’s your thing.

MagicRed may place emphasis on its selection of live games, but as far as I’m concerned, it has a rock-solid range of slot classics which, combined with some very appealing promos, should provide plenty of entertainment.

Promotions & Rewards

The fact that a casino offers no wagering promotions is a huge feather in its cap! At the time I reviewed the site, the welcome bonus consisted of free spins with no wagering requirements. Whilst this is obviously subject to change, it's likely that newcomers to the site can expect something just as exciting in the future.

To its credit, MagicRed offers occasional deals with no wagering requirements, such as the welcome bonus, but don’t expect to be able to claim one of these every week.

At MagicRed, promos are constantly changing, so the best thing to do is to register and watch out for promo-related alerts, or to keep checking the ‘Promotions’ page. This is also where you’ll find the specific bonus codes needed to claim these deals.

Bonuses & Free Spins

In terms of returning promotions, MagicRed offers seasonal prize pools, monthly prizes, weekly free spin deposit bonuses, and a ‘Daily Spin Frenzy’, which rewards players for completing various wagering challenges.

Loyalty Rewards

There’s no specific loyalty programme or VIP rewards scheme, but between these regular and ongoing promotions, players shouldn’t struggle to find an excuse to return to MagicRed. They also offer a regular cashback deal, granting 10% of weekend losses back, up to a maximum of £20.

There’s plenty of choice regarding payment methods too. Credit cards aren't an option for UK players, but Mastercard and Visa debit cards are accepted. Accepted payment methods include bank transfers, Tustly, PayPal, Astropay, Paysafecard, MuchBetter and Skrill.

With a decent array of e-wallets and alternatives supported, most players should find they can use their preferred method of banking without being subjected to any significant fees or delays. The minimum withdrawal limit is £10, which is nothing to complain about.

Timescales are a key selling point for MagicRed Casino, with all deposits being instant, and the majority of withdrawals being approved in under 48 hours, often on the same day. The possibility of near-instant withdrawal processing is likely to be a key attraction for many players.

Licensing & Regulation

MagicRed is operated by Aspire Global, a reputable and reliable company based in Malta. AG is licensed and regulated in Britain by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (account number 39483), so you can trust MagicRed with your funds and personal details.

You may well have come across other Aspire Global casinos on your travels. Other casinos operated by AG include Trada Casino, Hopa, Heyspin, Casiplay and plenty more.

Help & Support

The FAQ section, which appears in a pop-up window, is detailed and comprehensive, so that’s the place to start if you have a query. It also has a handy search function, which saves a lot of scrolling and skim-reading!

The customer support team can be contacted by email or live chat, but I didn’t see any mention of a phone number. The team is available 7 days a week from 07:00 to 23:00 GMT, but the availability of the live chat link doesn’t seem to align with this. Whilst a 24/7 chat option would be nice, I don’t personally find this too off putting. When contacting customer support to test their live chat, a real person was made available within seconds, which is quite impressive.
