Launched in 2019, Locowin is still a relatively new casino, but that hasn't stopped it from making a name for itself in its short career.

Owned and operated by Starscream Limited, Locowin boasts a catalogue of over 4,000 games that include some of the world's most popular slots, as well as classic casino table games and authentic live casino gaming. The casino also works with some of the biggest game providers in the world, including Games Global, Pragmatic Play and Play’n GO.

Locowin has a quirky medieval theme that runs throughout the site, giving it quite a distinctive look and feel. The interface itself is rather basic, which is pretty typical of Starscream sites. However, finding your way around is particularly easy, and it's a piece of cake navigating through Locowin's impressive collection of games. You can jump from ‘Casino’ to ‘Live Casino’ in order to find the games you want to play, and there are plenty of chances to discover new and exciting releases in both of these sections.

There's also a dedicated section for the VIP program and the site’s cashback scheme where you get cashback with every single bet you place. The ‘Promotions’ page is packed full of some great offers, most of which are completely wager-free. You can join the ‘Level Up’ loyalty program for your chance to climb a massive 100 levels with each one promising ‘royal rewards’. There are also regular free spins offers as well as Drops&Wins.

When it comes to banking, there's not much you won't find at Locowin. As a hybrid site, you can choose from a range of traditional payment methods, like eWallets and credit and debit cards, or join the exciting world of cryptocurrencies that let you deposit and withdraw in lightning-fast time with little to no fees.

Finally, if you need to get in touch with a member of the team, Locowin has a live chat feature that is available from 10:00 to 23:00 CET.

At first glance, this is a fun casino that doesn't take itself too seriously, but that also offers an impressive collection of games as well as some very decent promotions and a wealth of banking options. I can’t wait to get stuck in and see what else is on offer at Locowin!

Locowin is run by Starscream Limited which currently has about 30 casinos in its arsenal. Sister sites of Locowin include Staxino and Simsinos, both of which also offer a unique theme and large collection of games.

Although Starscream Ltd tends to uniquely brand all of its casinos, one thing they have in common is a rather basic design that is easy to use. All Starscream sites that I've reviewed so far are extremely easy to get around, although the websites themselves are a little bit clunky.

It’s clear to me that Locowin was designed to be used on a mobile phone, and even though the casino doesn't offer a native app, its mobile-optimised site works perfectly on a tablet or a smartphone. This is probably to do with its straightforward design, but Locowin is even better on a mobile than it is on a desktop, in my opinion.

Slots

Starting with slots, you can go directly to the ‘Slots’ tab or go to the ‘New’ and ‘Popular’ tabs where you’ll find a great selection of releases.

One of the first things I noticed is that none of the games display the name of the provider underneath – instead, they're all marked as ‘video slots’, which isn't very helpful if you want to find games from a particular developer. I then wondered if there was a filter for slot developers, but I was disappointed to find this was absent too. This is a rather odd move by Starscream as many of its other sites let you filter by game provider, and I found this lack of thought to be quite off-putting at Locowin.

Having said that, there is plenty to get stuck into at this casino. A quick look in the ‘New’ section, and I can see some very popular titles, such as Cosmic Rush, 3 Crazy Tikis and Empress of the Shadows. The selection in the ‘New’ area is eclectic and varied, so whether you're a fan of gem-inspired slots, Luck of the Irish games or classic Vegas-style releases, you'll find something to enjoy at Locowin.

Over in the ‘Popular’ section, there are some current smash-hits, such as Sweet Bonanza 1000, Alice Cooper and the Tome of Madness and many of the Big Bass series of games from Pragmatic Play. But it's not just newly popular games in this section. Locowin has done a great job of including some long-standing classic slots, such as a Book of Dead, Fire Joker and Wanted Dead or a Wild

The jackpot section is particularly good at Locowin, with multiple Mega Moolah and WowPot titles offering up huge jackpot prizes. With a little over 20 titles in this area, this isn't the biggest jackpot selection around, but it certainly includes some of the biggest and most popular games, including Immortal Romance Mega Moolah, Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah and Book of Atem WowPot.

If you want to be absolutely bombarded with games, you can just go to the ‘Slots’ section itself, or if you have a particular game in mind, there is a handy search bar function as well.

I'm still a little disappointed that it's difficult to find games by a particular developer, but Locowin is still a very easy-to-use site…as long as you don’t mind who makes the games!

Live casino & other games

While it's evident that Locowin is primarily focused on slots, there are plenty of other games to enjoy at this site too. You can skip over to the ‘Live Casino’ section and find a variety of classic table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat that are all hosted by real dealers. There's also a wide range of popular game shows including Mega Wheel, Sweet Bonanza Candyland and Boom City. The live collection isn’t the biggest around, but there is still enough here to keep you entertained if you're a fan of classic casino fare.

There's also a table games section if you prefer your casino games in a video format. Here, you’ll even find a couple of video poker options as well as Keno and some dice games in with all the video roulette and blackjack options.

Promotions & Rewards

There are plenty of generous promotions to be had at Locowin. Aside from the welcome offer, there are regular seasonal bonuses including, at present, Friday Free Spins where you can get up to 100 bonus spins to use on a selection of games.

There's also the Crazy Cashback scheme that offers you the chance to earn cashback on every bet you place. But the thing that I was most impressed with was the 100-level loyalty program. You can ascend the ranks and get instant rewards as well as gifts and bonus offers.

Finally, there is the VIP Loco program. There are 5 levels to this program and you can receive incredible perks such as match deposit bonuses, birthday presents and even anniversary gifts.

The great thing about Locowin’s promotions is that most of them are wager-free!

Loco VIP program

Get bespoke rewards and bonus offers with the Loco VIP program. Perks include tailor-made bonuses, more cashback and birthday and anniversary presents.

Level Up loyalty program

Climb 100 levels and receive royal rewards like free spins, ‘Big Spins’ and match deposit bonuses. Boost your climb with bets, gaining experience and filling the bar.  A grand reward awaits at each level!

Crazy Cashback

Earn cashback with every bet you make with Locowin’s Crazy Cashback. Available to collect every Monday, all cashback is free from wagering requirements.

One area where Locowin comes out on top is with banking methods. As a hybrid site, you can choose from a world of payment methods, including traditional fiat currency options such as eWallets, credit and debit cards and bank transfers. Alternatively, you can deposit and withdraw using some of the most popular cryptocurrencies around, like Bitcoin, Ethereum and the stablecoin Tether.

All deposits are free and instant, while withdrawals may have a small fee attached depending on which payment method you use.

The minimum deposit is just €/$10, while the minimum withdrawal is slightly higher at €/$30. I would have liked to have seen a slightly lower minimum withdrawal, but this is a minor gripe when compared to the amount of great banking options you have at your disposal.

The processing period for withdrawals is 48 hours, which is pretty standard, so no complaints from me there!

Licensing & Regulation

Locowin’s is owned and operated by Starscream Limited which is licensed by the reputable Canadian authority, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

The KGC has been regulating and licensing casinos for decades, ensuring high levels of player and data protection.

Help & Support

One thing I really like about Locowin is the customer service. Firstly, you’ll find a very comprehensive FAQ section that will answer most general queries about your account, bonuses, deposits and withdrawals.

If you do need to contact a member of the team, you can email Locowin if your query isn’t urgent, or use the live chat feature which you'll find in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

What I like about the live chat feature is that there is no chatbot to get through first. I contacted the site and spoke to a representative in just a couple of minutes, who was friendly, knowledgeable and very polite.

The live chat feature is available from 10:00 to 23:00 CET. It would have been nice to see 24-hour customer service with the live chat, but you can't have everything, and these opening hours should satisfy most customers.
