Entain gains GamCare safer gambling accreditation
Entain receives the Advance Level 3 standard
GamCare, the leading independent charity in the UK promoting safer gambling, has awarded Entain with the Advanced Safer Gambling Standard due to the operator's UK playing protection and social responsibility efforts.
Entain, known mostly for low wagering casinos such as Party Casino, received the Advanced Level 3 standard for its online activities and is the largest operator to receive this standard, whilst the land-based side of Entain has been awarded Advanced Level 2.
How was Entain assessed?
The company was assessed in 10 different areas and up against 58 separate criteria including a review of the safer gambling strategies, policies, procedures and control.
GamCare thoroughly conducted interviews with Entain employees and visited Entain workspaces in order to examine the company.
“Go beyond the social responsibility provisions,” says GamCare
“We are encouraged to see Entain achieve the Advanced level of the Safer Gambling Standard for its online and land-based activities, meaning they have adopted a wide range of safer gambling measures that go beyond the social responsibility provisions of their gambling licence,” said Dan Whitlam, Head of Industry Standards at GamCare.
He added: “The Safer Gambling Standard is an independent quality standard, which incorporates the experience of our service users, the huge level of collected evidence and industry research across numerous fields and GamCare’s many years of experience working across the sector.”
“Responsibility is at the heart of our strategy,” says Entain
Entain’s Chief Governance Officer, Robert Hoskin, stated: “We are proud to be recognised by GamCare and its Safer Gambling Standard in this critically important area of responsible betting and gaming, and in particular with their highest accreditation.
He concluded: “Sustainability, and with that – responsibility, is at the heart of our strategy and is fundamental to the way we do business.”
