Having watched Space Casino burst onto the scene like a supernova in 2019, I’ve waited patiently for my chance to see exactly what’s fuelling this iGaming rocket, and that moment has finally arrived.

The brand has been winning a good number of players since its inception, through its combination of games from top developers, superfast withdrawals and first-class customer service. But is it really as good as they say?

First impressions

There are 1,145 games on offer, drawn from some of the leading developers in the business. Expect contributions from the likes of Microgaming, NetEnt, Evolution, Yggdrasil, Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Inspired, Eyecon, Wazdan, Stakelogic and Booming Games—all available under one digital roof for your playing pleasure.

While working my way through the games selection I also stumbled across a lineup of jackpot slots, with 7 different jackpot games. And even more impressively, my inclination toward Megaways slots was well pandered to with a dedicated section featuring 22 games.

So far so good.

Owned and operated by STech European Entertainment Limited and its UK subsidiary, STech Technology UK Limited, Space Casino stands alone as the only site operated by this company. STech is licensed and regulated in the UK by the Gambling Commission, a requirement under UK law for any casino taking wagers from players in the UK.

From a confidence and trust point of view, we’re definitely on the right path with Space Casino. But then I hit a slight snag.

Taking a quick glance at the payment options, I could see that a couple of popular e-wallets (Skrill and Neteller) weren’t available. While this may irk some, the most common payment options including debit cards, PayPal and ApplePay are supported, so some of you might need to be a little flexible in this respect.

Platform & Software

Under the bonnet, Space Casino is driven by proprietary software that you won’t find at any other online casino. Unlike those that are one of many in a large portfolio, or that operate on white-label software, this site stands as a lone star in the iGaming galaxy

There are no sister sites and no shared technologies, but in a way, it was refreshing to play at a casino that doesn’t feel exactly like all the others

The software feels more than up to the job, and from a user perspective, everything seems nice and smooth, wrapped in a friendly interface that’s easy to use. When it comes to the games themselves, the list of developers reads like a who’s who of the upper echelon—Microgaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil and Pragmatic Play; I could go on.

Live gaming comes courtesy of the market leader, Evolution Gaming, and the selection is pretty good with Crazy Time and Monopoly Live both on offer.

Apps & mobile optimisation

Another slight bump in the road for some players could be the lack of a downloadable app. While the site is mobile-optimised for browser play on any mobile device, you will need to load it up the long way. Not exactly a huge issue for me and I imagine most of you will be of the same opinion.

Space Casino would be nothing without its licensed games from world-leading developers. And as I touched upon briefly before, the selection here comes from some of the industry’s most celebrated developers. Microgaming, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Hacksaw Gaming, Pragmatic Play, Inspired, Eyecon, Wazdan, Stakelogic, Booming Games and Evolution Gaming are all represented, together delivering a total of 1,145 games.

As you’d expect, the vast majority are online slots, though there is also a selection of games for fans of the more traditional casino experience.

A look at the slots

Slots are broken down into Popular Games, New Games, Jackpots, Video Slots, Classic Slots and Megaways, which I was able to filter at the click of a button. Table Games also get an honourable mention on the main menu, but it’s clear at first glance that Space Casino is focusing primarily on slots players.

Look out for the likes of Yggdrasil’s Valley of the Gods, and the high RTP Reel King Megaways from Inspired Gaming. Starburst, Big Bass Bonanza and Gates of Olympus are also worth a spin, in my humble opinion.

There are lots to choose from here, though not as many as on some of the larger slots-focused sites. Given that Space Casino seems to be leaning heavily on its selection of slots, the number of games on offer could be fleshed out further to make for an even more competitive selection. I noticed that the freshly released and highly regarded Big Bass Amazon Xtreme is already available to play which is a good sign that Space Casino is on top of the hottest releases. On the other hand, Dead or Alive II is missing and there are no Money Train games (although Stakelogic's new Money Train 3 replica, Money Track 2, is there if you don't mind shameless rip-offs!)

On the Jackpot slots side, Holmes and the Stolen Stones provides an eminently playable experience, while Mercy of the Gods and Divine Fortune make up part of the NetEnt options.

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Megaways games, each with all-ways wins totalling upwards of 117,649 ways to win. Highlights include Break Da Bank Again Megaways from Microgaming, The Rodfather Megaways by Booming Games and Atlantis Megaways from the developers at Yggdrasil.

Live games and classic table titles

Adding more live games would definitely improve the depth of the live gaming on offer here, but the 10 titles available should keep most of us occupied for a while.

The table games are also exclusively live games and includes First Person Craps, First Person Baccarat, and games like First Person Dream Catcher and First Person Dragon Tiger.

The decision to exclusively offer first-person games here is an interesting one—players are one on one with the dealer as if they are playing in a real-life casino environment. It’s certainly a realistic and high-quality experience that everyone should check out at some point.

Promotions & Rewards

Aside from its welcome bonuses for new players, which you can check out at the top of this page, Space Casino offers promotions and other benefits on a regular basis. These can be found on the promotions page—expand the left-hand navigation menu to find the link.

Expect these to change throughout the year, and be sure to visit from time to time to see the latest rewards on offer.

Free Spins

Every Tuesday, players can get their hands on up to 10 free spins, worth 10p per spin. To qualify for the offer, you need to deposit £25 and wager £25 on a Tuesday on the week’s nominated slot, to be credited with the free spins by 4pm the following day. Importantly, there are no wagering requirements with this bonus, so you get to keep anything you win as a result of playing your spins.

There isn’t a loyalty or VIP scheme in place but this won’t be an issue for all. Personally, I have my eye on other promotional activity so this didn’t hamper my experience.

Deposits & Withdrawals

  • Instant Bank Transfer / Open Banking Logo

Deposits and withdrawals are available through a variety of payment methods, notably PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Instant Banking and ApplePay. The options may change from region to region so you might want to check before you sign up.

Noticeably absent are e-wallets, Skrill and Neteller.

Despite the slightly limited options, I was able to get my deposit moving swiftly with a debit card and the funds were playable within a couple of minutes. This seems to be the way for most deposit methods, so no complaints on that front.

The real value on the banking side comes at the withdrawal end, where players can expect fast payouts with a low minimum withdrawal limit of just £10.

Withdrawal speeds

This is an area where Space Casino really comes into its own, and the benefits are obvious. The claim is one of ‘superfast’ withdrawal times with payments to Visa debit cards taking about 30 minutes, subject to the usual internal checks and verifications.

This is amongst the fastest I’ve ever experienced and is a real point of difference for Space Casino over its rivals. PayPal withdrawals can take a little longer at up to 24 hours, but again, these tend to be processed much more quickly in reality, averaging at a couple of hours.

Other withdrawal methods can take up to 5 working days at worst, but even this seems to be a case of managing expectations, rather than an accurate reflection of withdrawal speeds. On the whole, Space Casino lives up to its pledge to handle withdrawals quickly, which is a major benefit of depositing and playing here.

Note that Space Casino operates a closed-loop policy on payments. That means that when you deposit by one method, your withdrawal is also paid back using the same method. It pays to be smart about how you’re depositing to take advantage of quicker withdrawals.

Licensing & Regulation

Operated by STech Technology UK Limited, Space Casino holds a licence from the UK Gambling Commission—widely recognised as one of the world’s most serious gambling regulators.

Its parent company, STech European Entertainment Limited is based out in Malta, a major global hub for the iGaming industry, and home to numerous iGaming brands. Here, the brand has a secondary licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, which regulates Space Casino’s operations outside of the UK.

With a track record only dating back as far as 2019 and Space Casino as a singular entity, some might assume that larger operators would outgun a small outfit like this. However, I found that this definitely wasn’t the case and was pretty impressed with how they hold their own out there.

Help & Support

Help is usually on hand when you need it, with live chat support available throughout the day, 7 days a week. Support runs 24/7 so you should never be left hanging for too long, though response times from chat agents will vary depending on the volume of enquiries they are handling when you reach out.

The only alternative to live chat support is by emailing [email protected]. Definitely the slower of the two options, but sometimes more appropriate, depending on the nature of your query.

I found that the live chat agents are helpful and know their stuff, and TrustPilot records a surprisingly large number of positive reviews mentioning the quality of the support. Space Casino’s own claim that it offers a first-class customer support experience seems to hold true.

There’s also a very detailed Information Centre, which spells out everything you might need to know as you play—including FAQs covering all the most common queries raised with support.
