It’s clear from the get-go that Grosvenor is all about quality. My first impression was that the site is well-presented and intelligently arranged, especially considering the sheer range of attractions on offer.

Most players – and even non-players for that matter – will be aware of Grosvenor Casinos, primarily because of its history. Grosvenor is a British heritage brand, often cited as the UK’s largest operator, with a firm footing in physical, land-based establishments. In fact, it still operates more than 50 brick-and-mortar casinos around the country.

Founded in 1970 and operating as part of the iconic Rank Group, Grosvenor Casino has plenty of experience in keeping players happy, and it has been successful in applying this knowledge to its online presence.

It’s the site’s live casino section that takes front and centre position, closely followed by slots and then sports. One speciality of Grosvenor’s is jackpot slots, and this is made abundantly clear with a bounty of jackpot titles for players who are in it for the big wins.

Another of Grosvenor’s most prominent tabs relates to its unique membership scheme, which offers players a number of benefits, including some exclusive promos and banking options. We’ll expand on this below, but it does illustrate Grosvenor’s emphasis on, and commitment to, treating its loyal players well.

Whilst the player-first approach alone would be enough to win me over, Grosvenor is also known for offering occasional no and low wagering promotions. These may not be evergreen, but when they come around they’re irresistible.

As part of Rank, which made its name by producing some classic British films, Grosvenor Casino has a well-known sister site, Mecca Bingo, which is also very popular at both physical and online locations.

Some of the industry’s biggest developers are hosted by Grosvenor, including Playtech, Blueprint, IGT, Microgaming, NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming and more, meaning Grosvenor features some of the most popular games around. However, this doesn’t mean they shy away from offering a few lesser-known gems too.

Grosvenor Casino gives players a choice when it comes to gaming on the go. It offers a range of award-winning apps which are available on both Android and iOS. Each app is specialised to a different section of the site – there’s a dedicated casino app, a live casino app, a sports betting app, a poker app and a live poker app.

If this all sounds like a bit much, players who prefer everything in one place will be glad to know that the mobile-optimised version of the site runs brilliantly, despite being a very literal translation of the desktop site. Whilst I prefer to keep things simple and not download a whole range of different apps, there’s nothing wrong with giving players the choice!

Games

Considering that some of its competitors boast libraries containing several thousand titles, Grosvenor Casino’s may not, at first glance, seem all that impressive. However, in true Grosvenor style, quality prevails over quantity.

Slots

The majority of Grosvenor’s games are slots, with a prime selection of 750+ high-end titles from industry-leading developers.

The slots section of the site is helpfully divided up into categories, making navigation easy. If you’re looking for a particular title, you’ll have no difficulty finding it. Slots can be viewed in a complete A-Z list, searched for by name, or browsed for by category.

There’s a ‘Popular’ tab which contains 25 of the biggest slots, such as Starburst and Big Bass Bonanza. Interestingly, there’s also a ‘Top 20’ tab, which has some overlap with this, but offers a glimpse into what other players are up to.

Perhaps surprisingly for a hand-picked, quality-first selection, the ‘New’ tab was stuffed with recent releases, including various jackpot, Slingo and Megaways titles. What’s more, this page proudly states: “At Grosvenor Casinos, you’ll find new slot games added almost every week.” I was pleasantly surprised by this attitude towards keeping the library up to date.

Frankly, I’m not too clear on the purpose of the ‘Classic Slots’ category, which seems to overlap with others too much to be really useful. But the ‘Grosvenor's Hidden Gems’ tab does exactly what it says on the tin. Players who fancy a change but feel indecisive should be able to make good use of this.

There are also specific sections for Megaways games, drops and wins, and games which relate to Grosvenor’s membership and loyalty schemes, such as ‘Road to Rewards’.

Right at the top of the page, there’s a dedicated tab for jackpot games, and within this are separate groups of slots such as ‘Hot Jackpots’, ‘Daily Jackpots’, ‘Jackpot King’ and more. Grosvenor’s efforts to make this jackpot section of the site separate demonstrates their commitment to catering for players who have their eyes on the biggest prizes.

Live casino

As a company which made its name in brick-and-mortar casinos, it’s no surprise that Grosvenor takes its live casino seriously. In fact, the layout of the site gives live casino games more visibility and exposure than slots, which is quite telling.

Offering dozens of “the best titles from Evolution Gaming and other leading game providers”, Grosvenor has cut no corners here. There are specific tabs for exclusives, new releases, roulette, game shows, baccarat and poker, the latter of which appears to be a bit of a Grosvenor speciality, with a dedicated poker loyalty scheme and regular tournaments.

There’s also a ‘Live & Direct’ section, which gives players streamed access to real Grosvenor tables at their Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham and London venues. This is a nice touch, and I can see it making live casino lovers and more nostalgic players feel right at home.

Other games

In addition to its slots and live casino games, Grosvenor Casino has no shortage of other attractions, including video roulette, blackjack, poker, baccarat and more.

The sportsbook is also comprehensive and thoughtfully arranged, so players who fancy placing a quick wager on their team won’t need to go elsewhere.

It’s fair to say that Grosvenor’s library is comprehensive. They offer a near full-service experience, catering to a wide range of needs with a game library spanning almost all of the major categories. The only thing you may be surprised not to find is bingo, and that’s likely to be because Mecca Bingo is run by the same operator.

Promotions & Rewards

At Grosvenor Casino, bonuses come in all shapes and sizes. The ‘Promos’ page is divided into categories, which is helpful considering how many bonuses there are to look at!

Amongst the deals on this page, players can expect a range of free-to-play mini games, drops and wins, daily rewards with guaranteed prizes, and tournaments for both slots and live casino games.

There are even a few which relate to Grosvenor’s physical casinos. The ‘Road to Rewards’ promo, is essentially a loyalty scheme which gives players extra bonuses for making regular visits and deposits.

Whilst some of the promos do come with wagering requirements, Grosvenor Casino makes a clear and concerted effort to keep them reasonable. Demonstrating fairness and a willingness to meet players half way, Grosvenor frequently offers wagering requirements as low as 1x.

For instance, there’s currently a free coin toss game which can be played every day, awarding free spin prizes which come with wagering requirements of just 5x. Another offers prize draw entries for players who deposit £10, and prizes include bonus funds with wagering requirements of 1x or 2x.

On top of all this, there are loads of live casino and sportsbook-related offers. Needless to say, promo-hunters are likely to find Grosvenor a satisfying hunting ground!

VIP Treatment

Grosvenor Casino offers high rollers the opportunity to get their hands on a Grosvenor Casino Black Card. This exclusive card gives players the following rewards: Enhanced play point earning, personal account manager, invite-only events and hospitality, exclusive access to promotions both online and inside Grosvenor Casinos.

If you’d like to join Grosvenor’s top tier of VIP you can simply get in touch once you've registered an account with them. Their helpful VIP Managers will do the rest!

Loyalty Rewards

The regular (non-VIP) membership scheme, which we briefly mentioned already, comes with a number of benefits, including access to exclusive promos and tournaments with some decent prize pools. It's open to anyone who enjoys playing here.

Deposits & Withdrawals

  • Paysafecard Logo

  • Apple Pay Logo

When it comes to banking options, Grosvenor Casino accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Paysafecard and Apple Pay. However, it doesn’t seem to take some of the lesser-known methods such as Skrill.

Although this range of options is a little limited compared to some, the big ones are accepted, so this isn’t likely to put many players off.

There is a banking-related element to the Grosvenor membership scheme too. By creating an online wallet, funds can be moved quickly and easily, even when visiting one of their physical locations, plus you’ll have access to the aforementioned exclusive promos.

The minimum deposits are set at £5 for most methods but £10 for PayPal, and the minimum withdrawal limit is £5 across the board, which is very reasonable.

Grosvenor scores yet more points with its processing times. If your bank or e-wallet supports Fast Withdrawals, as many now do, most payments will be processed automatically and hit your account within just 15 minutes. If not, as is the case with certain Visa or Mastercard accounts, you’re looking at a wait of 1-3 working days, which still isn’t bad.

Licensing & Regulation

The Grosvenor Casino site is owned and operated by Rank Interactive Gibraltar, which is licenced and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission under account number 57924.

It holds additional licences for the physical locations and for players based abroad, so, just in case there was any doubt, it’s safe to say that Grosvenor can be trusted!

Help & Support

Whilst the site’s FAQ section isn’t as expansive as that offered by some, Grosvenor Casino shines when it comes to customer service.

In support of its efforts to provide a quality experience, Grosvenor has 24/7 contact options. Testing the live chat function, I landed in first position in the queue and got a response within a minute or two. On a separate occasion, I had to negotiate with a chatbot before I could reach a real person, but this still only took a minute or two.

For players who aren't in a hurry, customer support agents can be contacted via email at [email protected], and those who prefer a more personal touch can call on 0800 083 1990.
