The iGaming giant adds The Jockey Club to its partners

Only days after doubts of Aristocrat's £2.7bn Playtech acquisition, Playtech has announced that it's signed an international agreement with The Jockey Club.

The iGaming giant has been given rights to develop multi-product content such as online slots and other products. This exclusive agreement will give Playtech access to The Jockey Club for five years.

Who is The Jockey Club?

Founded in 1750, The Jockey Club is Britain's second-biggest spectator sport and operates 15 racecourses across the nation including The National Stud and Jockey Club Live to name a few.

As one of the largest commercial groups in British Horseracing, The Jockey Club has given Playtech the greenlight to develop content based on the famous races and racehorses from The Jockey Club.

Part of the Sporting Legends series

It's expected that Playtech will deliver live casino games, poker, virtual sports, online slots and even bingo games to go on Playtech's Virtue Fusion software found on most bingo sites.

The first content from this partnership is suggested to be in time for the Cheltenham Festival that is predicted to be part of the Sporting Legends series joining Frankie Dettori: Sporting Legends, AP McCoy: Sporting Legends and Ascot: Sporting Legends.

“Iconic sporting institution,” says Playtech

James Frendo, casino director at Playtech, said: “At Playtech, we are committed to developing the most engaging branded content.”

“By partnering with an iconic sporting institution such as The Jockey Club, we are able to create a full range of exceptional and exciting cross-product content.”

Frendo concluded: “Partnering with globally recognised brands is a key pillar of our branded content strategy as we look to deliver a unique and engaging responsible gambling experience to our customers.”

“Playtech also share our values,” says The Jockey Club

Charlie Boss, chief commercial officer at The Jockey Club, added: “We are delighted to partner with Playtech, whose industry-leading software and expertise will help translate the success of our historic brands into the iGaming market for the first time.

Boss finished with: “Playtech also share our values on putting safer gambling at the heart of their products.”
