Multiple companies joined together to do their part for Earth Day

On the 22nd of April 2022, many industries within the iGaming world such as Videoslots Casino and Thunderkick joined together to collect waste at Golden Beach in Mellieħa, Malta.

50 iGaming employees joined together with friends and family members as part of an initiative organised by iGEN, the iGaming European Network in collaboration with the Majjistral Park Rangers to support Earth Day on the same day.

14 companies joined together

All of the volunteers joined from 14 different iGaming companies and spent two hours clearing a huge amount of litter from the roadside, cliffs and wooded areas near Golden Bay up to Riviera.

The companies involved include the previously mentioned Videoslots Casino and Thunderkick (known for Esqueleto Explosivo 2) as well as the Malta Gaming Authority as well as Pariplay and Kalamba.

"Many are keen to give something back," says iGEN

"Last Friday, we gathered a group of fabulous Videoslots employees, who happily gave up their time to help out on Earth Day," said Videoslots Casino on LinkedIn. "We collected a staggering amount of rubbish and then finished the day off with some well-earned refreshments. A huge thank you to all involved and for being generally awesome."

iGEN’s Glen Smith, who organised the event commented: "The thousands of people who have moved to Malta to work within iGaming enjoy an amazing life here in these beautiful islands, and many are keen to give something back to show their appreciation."
