WWE partners with IGT for a multi-year exclusive license

IGT has decided to kick off 2022 with a bang as they've announced that they've signed a multi-year exclusive licensing agreement with WWE to develop branded lottery games and promotional programs featuring stars associated with the show along with special events.

Last year, WWE released an online slot with Microgaming and All41 Studios with WWE Legends Link & Win - so it's unsure if we'll see some WWE online slots from IGT.

Who is IGT?

They are one of the global leaders in iGaming delivering entertaining and responsible gambling experiences for all types of players and available at most no wagering casinos. Amazingly, the company is available in more than 100 counties across the world with over 11,000 employees.

Most people will know of IGT through hit online slots such as Cleopatra, Star Lanterns Mega Jackpots and Cleopatra Mega Jackpots.

Who is WWE?

Almost everyone knows of the popular WWE as they are a media organisation committed to family-friendly entertainment in more than 900 million homes worldwide in 28 languages.

WWE, also known as World Wrestling Entertainment, is most famous for the shows they release with wrestlers and making stars such as John Cena, Dwayne Johnson and Hulk Hogan.

"IGT is the clear industry leader in the lottery and gaming space," says WWE

"The WWE brand has broad appeal that reaches diverse age groups and cultural demographics in many geographies," said Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Lottery. "IGT looks forward to melding the unique WWE assets with IGT's lottery expertise to create appealing, high-quality games and second-chance promotional opportunities for our global customers and their players."

"IGT is the clear industry leader in the lottery and gaming space, and we look forward to collaborating by bringing our intellectual property to our fans and lottery games around the globe," stated Alex Varga, WWE Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development. "This is an exciting opportunity for us to continue to leverage the strong crossover between the WWE Universe and another segment of the gaming landscape."
