William Hill will soon be taken over by 888
Announced in September 2021, 888 Holdings stated that the company was taking over William Hill. The company has announced that the deal will be completed by the end of June.
This statement came as the result of an Extraordinary General Meeting in which a majority of shareholders voted in favour of the deal with 307 million votes, whilst 819,264 were against.
888 won the bid in September 2021
Originally, the acquisition was initially expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022 but later announced it would be finalised in the second quarter.
